There are a variety of interesting things in a living room. Being the eclectic type, I'd have to say you will find all sorts of
different things laying around. There are copies of The Brothers Karamazov, my
Church Newsletter, Goethe's Faust, a collection of the poetry of Rimbaud, and St. Gregory of Nyssa laying on the  coffee table. Also there is a copy of
Russian Life Magazine and a glass of water. I shouldn't tell you, but there is a dirty dish with crumbs from an eaten
slice of pie, with a sticky fork, which should be taken back to the kitchen.
